Biography

I cut my teeth in communications in London where I launched Eulogy! in 1996, growing it from a standing start to an award winning top 75 PR agency.  My clients included:  Bank of Ireland, the Irish Tourist Board, News International, Royal Mail and Securicor; as well as a host of media-related brands such as MUTV, ABC and agencies from all the on and off line marketing disciplines.  Client work was primarily UK and European communications strategies including launches, reputation and message management, M&A and corporate announcements, crisis management, product/service media relations, copy and ghost writing.

After selling the agency in 2004 I did an Executive MBA at Henley Management College, whilst also starting a unique marketing consultancy specialising in children and families.  During this period I researched and created the unique concept and model Kids Social Responsibility to allow businesses and brands to engage with these audiences in a responsible and commercially effective way.

In August 2006 I returned to Ireland with my family and have worked on projects both in-house and in agencies, creating and implementing multi media marcomms strategies for a variety of brands and organisations – Children’s Sunshine Home, Ulster Bank, EUmom, Kleenex, Intel.  I also created the Code of for RTE Junior.  My work in the UK includes being part of the Conservative Party’s Children’s Taskforce that is gathering and disseminating best business practice with regard to children and families.

I’ve published extensively in both UK & Irish trade magazines – Marketing, Marketing Week, Admap, Young Consumer Journal, Deadline, Business Plus.  And as well as speaking at various conferences and have lectured students on the CAM course.
