Kids Social Responsibility - KSR
I believe that all commercial enterprise has an obligation to be a good corporate citizen. Nowhere is this more relevant and important than with regard to children and families.
I also believe that today’s children are stakeholders of business either financially, emotionally or by default, and should be recognised as such and treated accordingly.
Neither of these beliefs should detract from a business operating successfully. But both require a business to act carefully.
KSR is a concept and model that allows businesses to do this. It’s a three stage process that in part mirrors the FTSE4Good Index Criteria and is sufficiently robust to stand alone as a code, policy or standard, or be incorporated into existing CSR procedures.
The principles of KSR have been analysed and researched extensively to conclude that businesses and brands that engage responsibly with children can benefit in terms of business performance.
